I got the Story So Far KH game and began playing it 01 Nov. I like the game it's just that the interaction between Sora and Donald&Goofy seems not so great from the perspective of someone over 20.
One of the first things they say to Sora, who just lost everything and doesn't know if anyone at all is alive, is "No Frowning".
From the way that Leon and the rest of the squad were talking the reason they sent Sora with those two was that Traverse Town was dangerous enough without the Heartless focusing themselves on the Keyblade bearer living there. Sending Sora off with company was the best way to keep everyone alive. But I don't think that any of them liked it much.
Then there's the way that Donald immediately refuses to allow Riku to come along with them. I get that it's a plot point but Sora desperately needs anything to have survived the destruction and having Riku with him would, hopefully, be stabilizing for them both. Donald didn't even give a reason for the refusal he just said no.
Then there's the way that they left Sora in Hollow Bastion. Even if they did return to him that they left in the first place after Riku acted/spoke the way he did was bad. They were the ones with the transport the ability to fight the Heartless without a Keyblade, them just abandoning Sora at the gates of Hollow Bastion is irresponsible and close to attempted murder.
There is also the way that Sora stops mentioning Riku and Kairi as often as he did in the later parts of the game. I don't recall Sora ever mentioning them in Atlantica for one. It could be that Sora knew that Riku was out there and after Monstro that he knew where Kairi was. It could just as easily be that he as subtily discouraged from asking.
But I do still like the game and am looking forward to the new one. I may post more about it later.
